Get to know the authors behind Teach in the Heart of Texas
Teach in the Heart of Texas is authored by a mother-daughter team. We have enjoyed collaborating on several educational projects. We have fun getting together for occasional game nights, going for walks by the lake, and decorating for the holidays.
We also share spending time with this darling Zuchon, Gracie. She loves to play with toys, chase leaves around the yard, and snuggle. She is also the pickiest eater… unless you’re talking about treats. Gracie loves a good snack!
TEACHING WITH CREATION CASTLE
Heather is the author of Creation Castle. She has experience with general education, special education, and ESL students in kindergarten through fifth grade. She specializes in early elementary math and literacy, as well as organization.
When Heather isn’t creating new resources for her store, she is probably rewatching Friends for the 500th time, reading a good book, or searching for some new music on Spotify. She also loves to spend time with her niece and nephews.
TEACHING WITH RESOURCE RANCH
Rhonda is the author of Resource Ranch. Most of her classroom experience has been in early elementary. She has also taught Title I Reading, ESL, and gifted students. She is certified as a Texas teacher in grades 1-8 and as a K-12 librarian.
In addition to creating educational resources, she enjoys spending time with her four amazing grandchildren and traveling with her husband. Her favorite trips have been to the beach in Jamaica and a cabin in the Smokey Mountains.
